| Our client is a leading supplier of Fiber Optic and Wireless Telemetry Systems into the Remotely Operated Vehicle Industry. They are in need of an RF Engineer to design and support their Wireless product line and to work with their team of Digital/Analog engineers as required to support their high speed fiber optic products. RESPONSIBILITIES: Design new products to support customer requirements for Wireless Telemetry systems, (up to 5.8Ghz), based upon Spread Spectrum protocols, such as the 802.11 specification. Must be able to successfully prototype, test and carry to production any products designed. MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE with: RF/Wireless Communications Circuit Design, Transmitter and Receiver design. Hardware development process, concept to implementation. RF/Microwave Computer aided circuit design and circuit layout software, PADS preferred. Working knowledge in the operation of standard RF/Microwave Test equipment including: Network Analyzer, Spectrum Analyzer, RF Power Meter, Signal Generator. Preferred candidates will also have one or more of the following skills: Design experience with 802.11 spread spectrum radios, PCMCIA size boards and components, FCC compliance and subsequent testing, Antenna selection and range testing of RF Radios.
